Forthcoming Titles in the Integral Subculture Series:
Oi! Svaha!
A Buddhist Manual for Spiritual Skinheads
Bill McCourt
Buddha was a rebel, and the original skinhead. His practice was subversive; his message seditious, just like skinhead culture. His enlightened point of view went against the norms of his day – in his words, “against the stream”. His teachings changed the world, and now they can change you too.
Presenting the basics of Buddhism with personal anecdotes, exercises, and guided meditations, bestselling author Bill McCourt guides the reader along a spiritual path that has led to freedom from suffering and has saved lives for 2,500 years.
McCourt should know. Buddhist meditation saved him from a life of addiction and crime. He went on to counsel and teach countless others the Buddhist way to freedom, and here he shares those life-changing lessons with you. Read and awaken to a new and better life.
Bill McCourt is a Buddhist teacher and founder of Original Dharma Skins Sangha UK. He teaches meditation classes and plays the bass in 4-monks and Dharma Rejects.
Bill currently resides in north London, UK.

Zen and the City.
Chicken Soup for Spiritual Chicks
Hillary Hilton
Hillary Hilton is a practitioner and junior teacher in The Central Park West Sangha. She began meditating as a teenager and soon deepened her commitment to the Dharma to a point where she actually shaved her head for several weeks.
When Hillary left for college she received two heirlooms from her parents. From her father, a mala which he had purchased in Nepal. From her mother, her father’s old bong. She utilized both greatly in the four years ahead. During that time Hillary also became a Zen student of Jundo Roshi in New York City, and established Zendo House, an eighteen person dorm at Bryn Mawr College, which hosts a large meditation room. Soon afterwards, she released the popular dokusan-on-the-go app.
After leaving college, Hillary was recruited to the position of Executive Director of the Central Park West Sangha. She also began leading numerous workshops at meditation centers and college campuses throughout the United States. Hillary also practiced with Tutteji Wachtmeister and became a licensed The Big Bucks Process™ instructor, in addition to founding her own non-profit, an authentic spiritual leadership training and job placement organization.
Her popular column, What Would Yasodharā Do, appears regularly on the Huffington Post, and her writing has appeared in Shape Magazine, Tricycle Magazine, the Shambhala Sun, BuddhaDharma, and Vogue.
Zen and the City. Chicken Soup for Spiritual Chicks is her first book.

More Practical Advice on Spiritual Shopping and Soulful Dating by a Contemporary Zen Master
Hillary Hilton
Are you trying to bridge your spiritual practice and your worldly life? Then the teaching of Hillary Hilton is for you
Advance praise for Hillary Hilton’s Zen and the City books:
“The two volume-set of Zen and the City is an absolute must for those who are spiritual but not religious, who are disillusioned by the state of the world, who are sick of their jobs (and just started last Tuesday), who like like to alter their states of consciousness and having sex and hate being preached at, who are striving to deepen their social interactions beyond the digital realms of Twitter and Facebook. This is Buddhism presented to a generation leaving the safe growth spurts of college and entering a turbulent and uncertain work force.” — Sumeru Sun
A young, New York-based Buddhist teacher, Hilton is able to take a relaxed, colloquial approach to the spiritual life and its many benefits because she’s so well-versed in the timeless practice of mindfulness — Spiritual Booklist
“Don’t let Hilton’s youthful exuberance fool you. This girl knows her stuff.”—Dharma Illustrated
“The devoted shopper’s Buddhist.”—Yana, Yana Magazine
“Hilton’s voice is approachable and funny and absolutely credible to all of the young professionals who seem to have it all but who are beginning to wonder if they are missing something really, really big.”— belief.com

Integral Publications is happy to announce a new series of hard-hitting, spiritual books for counter-cultural Dharma dorks. The Integral Subculture Series introduces some of the most hardcore Dharma teachers active on the cutting edge of post-hipster culture. First out are two titles by Dick Divine and Chuck Enkaku Johnzen Roshi. Order your own copies today.
Leather Dharma. A Memoir
Dick Divine
This is the deeply moving story of a middle-aged man and his generation. Once they were youths who rebelled against their parents and the unfulfilled promise of the sixties. Now they’re the avant-garde of Buddhist Geeks and Dharma Dorks.
As with many self-destructive kids, Dick Divine’s search for meaning led him first to the leather scene, dungeons, drugs, and dissatisfaction. But the search didn’t end there. Having clearly seen the potential of kinky sex, drugs, and violence, Dick looked for positive ways to channel his rebellion against what he saw as the impotence of Boomer spirituality.
Fueled by his anger and so much injustice and suffering, Divine now uses the energy of bdsm, tattoos, and the practice of Buddhism to awaken his natural wisdom and compassion.
Dick Divine is a Buddhist teacher, author and counselor. He is trained to teach by Alex Portnoy of Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, CA. He teaches meditation classes, workshops and retreats nationally as well as leading groups in dungeons and prisons. Dick holds a masters degree in counseling psychology from Integral College in Boulder, Co. He has studied with many prominent teachers in several Buddhist traditions.
Dick currently lives in San Francisco, CA.

Biker Zen. A Trip Through Death, Sex, Drugs, and Spiritual Celebrity in Search of the American Dream
Chuck Genkaku Johnzen Roshi
How does a real-life Zen master help others through hard times when he’s dealing with pain of his own? How does he meditate when the world is crumbling around him? Is meditation a valid response or just another form of escapism? These are some of the questions Chuck Enkaku Johnzen Roshi, transmitted Soto Zen Master and former President of the Motorcycle club Pissed off Bastards of Boulder, contemplates in Biker Zen.
During a year that Genkaku spent giving talks and leading motorcycle retreats across the Southwest, his Harley was stolen, his Dharma Transmission was revoked, and he was kicked out from the American Zen Teachers Association. In writing about how he applied the Buddha’s teachings to his own real-life suffering, Genkaku Roshi shatters expectations, revealing that genuine Zen isn’t some esoteric pie-in-the-sky ultimate solution but an exceptionally practical way of dealing with whatever life dishes out.

One Smell
The Journals of Tutteji Wachtmeister
As the founder of The Big Bucks Process™ and many other cutting edge integral forms of spiritual practice, Tutte Wachtmeister naturally arouses the curiosity of his readers. People wonder about his meditation practice, his schedule of writing and teaching, and assorted details of his most intimate habits. In response to this curiosity, this diary of a year in the life of Tutteji offers an unprecedented entrée into his private world – as well as further explorations into his essential thought on the integration of Spirit and Market. These intimate writings include:
- day-to-day personal experiences (including graphic descriptions of his most advanced tantric practices)
- details of Tutteji’s own spiritual practice, plus his recommendations for others
- never before published material from his interactions with other prominent spiritual teachers (including many racy behind-the-scenes snapshots)
- critical observations on popular spiritual movements
From the Introduction
Being something of a hermit , I’ve never been seeking the limelight. In fact, I have strenously resisted going public (I can’t tell you how many times I refused to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show, for example). Nonetheless, as a response to many questions and requests from my students and readers, it seemed appropriate to share some details about my private life in the form of a journal intime.
Still, these journals are not primarily meant to be a record of my personal life, which is really pretty dull, at least in comparison with some of my friends’. (Deepak, Eckhart, and Genpo come to mind, and this journal contains many entries dealing with the antics of this spiritual Brat Pack).
This book is really a collection of the teachings which I was given by some of the greatest spiritual Masters of the East. I have made some modifications and improvements of my own, in order to make these prizeless gifts accessible to contemporary seekers of the Way. Hopefully readers will find this Spirituality 2.0 inspiring and profitable enough that they sign up for one of my workshops and start practicing my teachings in their everyday lives.
If there is a theme to this journal, and to my teachings, it is that Body, Mind, and Market are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they are One. The free, global market which is beginning to manifest on the cutting edge of human evolution, is a perfect reflection of your own, True Self. And that Self, is nothing but a manifestation of this luminous free Market. There is only One Smell in the entire Cosmos, and that is the divine smell of this eternal Body and Mind as Market.
I urge you, dear reder, to Wake Up and Smell the Market!

A well-bred Wasp-girl, Jade began her career in the erotic service business at the age of twenty.
